The main Marvel’s Avengers story content will fill a good chunk of time even before you get into the post-campaign Avengers Initiative.

It’s Time To Move On From Marvel’s Avengers

I love Marvel’s Avengers so I don’t love making this video, but we are at a point start Year 3 of the game where Crystal Dynamics needs to shit or get off the pot. No Rest For The Wicked is the second mission released in 2022 and it’s fine. It’s an OK mission. But this is what they can produce in such a long amount of time? I think it’s time to consider what happens after Marvel’s Avengers. In a perfect world, Embracer would be able to lock down the Marvel license moving forward and we could see them move on to a new Marvel gaming experience. I have no confidence whatever is left of this team can continue to produce timely content that make everything interesting. I just don’t, and nothing makes that point clearer than releasing a short villain sector featuring the most boring villain we fight in the game, Monica Rappaccini. One of the biggest disasters in a litany of disasters for Marvel’s Avengers is the fact that there are literally FIVE villains we can fight regularly: Monica, Taskmaster, Abomination, Maestro and Klaw.

It’s time to move on. This game has never been and never will be what we wanted it to be and how much longer is it worth chasing the dangling carrot of new content that just isn’t coming?
